Nihan Muş Özmen is a Lecturer (PhD) in the Department of Architectural Design and Criticism at Abdullah Gül University, Faculty of Architecture.
She graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture in 2009. She completed her master’s degree in 2019 and her doctorate in 2025, both at Abdullah Gül University, Department of Architecture.
Her master’s research focused on flexible and transformable spaces, parametric design, the future of workspaces, and mobile offices. Her doctoral dissertation examined the housing culture of the local (yilli) community in Kayseri, exploring the intersections of identity, belonging, habitus, and space. This research brought together architectural and sociological perspectives on housing transformation and cultural practices.
Between 2009 and 2016, she worked in the private sector as a Design Specialist for the İstikbal and Mondi brands within Boytaş Furniture. From 2017 to 2018, she worked as an architect at the Erciyes University Congress Center construction site. Benefiting from her professional experience, she also served as a Visiting Lecturer at Erciyes University Faculty of Architecture and the Department of Industrial Design Engineering between 2017 and 2019.
