III. Uluslararası Develi - Âşık Seyrânî ve Türk Kültürü Kongresi , Kayseri, Türkiye, 30 Haziran - 02 Temmuz 2022, ss.73-78
Poet Seyrani, who was born in the Develi district of Kayseri, is one of the famous minstrels of the 19th century. The art of a poet or writer is evaluated according to the new meanings he attributes to words, the extraordinary similes he makes, and the aesthetic and intelligent phrases. For this reason, his preferred descriptive adjectives constitute one of the criteria that can be used to determine the artist's mastery. In this research, the descriptive adjectives used by Seyrani in Hasan Avni Yüksel's book "Aşık Seyrani - His Life and Poems" were determined and his skills, talents and extraordinaryness in this subject were revealed. In 139 poems in the book, 201 qualifying adjectives were identified and classified according to their structures. It has been seen that foreign origin qualifying adjectives are used more than Turkish adjectives. It has been determined that the adjectives in the word group structure -except for one example in preposition group and imputation group structure-are in the adjective-verb group structure. It was seen that Seyrani used the word "black" as an adjective at most (13 times). There is hardly any artist other than Seyrani who uses the adjectives in the phrases "rotten words, homeless lamb, slippery Muslim, delitable fish and vow eyebrows" for these names. It has been evaluated that the very few use of such unique adjectives, which can be considered as peculiar to Âşık Seyrani, in a sense does not suit his reputation and mastery.
