This course considers the mechanisms through which the concept of gender is constructed, how it leads to gender inequality, how gender inequality is perpetuated and implications of gender in different aspects of our lives, in a seminar format. Main psychological theories regarding gender and its development, impact of gendered view on different domains of life such as health, relationships, work, or family are covered.
