Course focuses on global problems and their interrelations in the field of architecture, as a case of advanced research. It criticizes disciplinary and inter-disciplinary research approaches of architecture, with their methodology and expected outputs and intends to develop an alternative way of a conceptual-approach in terms of research by design, as a trans-disciplinary point-of-view. Students are expected to frame an innovative research focused on an architecture or build-environment based global problem, and formulate multiple values as a reference for sustainable development.
Course scopes link with UN's SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities, SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities and SDG 17 Partnerships with the Goals.
