Özet

Many different methods have been created by modern customers for laundering their own garments at home. Consumers' behaviors cover a wide range of topics, from washing machine temperature to detergent kind. The emissions produced during the wearing stage of the clothing are affected by every consumer decision. Studies conducted for the clothing life cycle in the literature indicate the use phase as the second most prominent emission source after raw material consumption. The aim of this research is to use the life cycle assessment methodology to evaluate environmental emissions for washing machine program settings required for energy labeling in accordance with 2010/30/EU and to determine the most appropriate program with MOORA, a multi-criteria decision-making method, taking into account economic and environmental factors. Therefore, environmental and economic factors were considered when assessing the produced scenarios, and MOORA, a multi-criteria decision-making process, was used to settle on the optimal scenario. Scenario 3 was chosen because it provided the greatest outcomes based on the data collected. These findings examined washing machine programs that have not been included in the literature until now, providing vital information regarding environmental and economic effects.
